November 6, 2014---Michelle’s in Loveland, CO

My doctor’s appointment today was at 11:00 with my dermotologist.  She froze several places and did a bioposy on a place on the left side of my face.

I had wanted to check in with the woman who gives me permanents.  I went in today for a shampoo and set.  She did a really good job.  I plan to get a “temporary” within the next two weeks.  That should take care of my hair until at least Quartzsite or Yuma.

When I was finished with the beauty shop, we went to McDonald’s for a late lunch.  Our errands today included a stop at Jax Sporting Goods and Farm Store, back out to RV America for some more information, and a couple of other stops before going back home.

Meredith and Dwaine invited us for dinner.  We had meatloaf, baked potatoes, salad, pumpkin pie, and carrot cake.  It was a delicious feast, with time to visit afterwards.

Earlier in the day, Bill got boxes from the cabinets above the bed.  That is where I store out-of-season clothes.  After returning home from Meredith and Dwaine’s, I finished getting out winter things and packed away summer clothes.  It had to be finished before we could call it quits for the night.  There was no way to get into bed with a mountain of clothes piled on the bed.

People in Colorado are sure God is a Bronco fan...orange and blue sunsets.

November 5, 2014---Michelle’s in Loveland, CO

It was really cold this morning, but warmed up as the day went on.

Bill and I went to RV America, south on I-25 a few miles.  We were there to make an appointment for the motorhome repairs.  We will take it on Monday at 8:00, and will be there when they pull it out for the night at 5:00.  We’ll be able to stay in it at night, except when it is in the paint booth.  It might take two weeks to finish the job, but we hope they will get it finished faster.

On the way home, we stopped at Walmart for a few groceries and our prescriptions.  I got very tired and went to sit in McDonald’s and drink a Diet Dr. Pepper while Bill finished shopping.  When he had gone through the checkout place, he came to fetch me.  We had another place to go, but decided to leave it until tomorrow.

After lunch, I made an appointment for an MRI next Wednesday.  There was a lab test I needed before then, so I went back to the ear doctor with the results of my lab work done by Dr. Huneycutt last week.  The nurse said I had already had that test, and called the MRI place to see if I was good to go.  And I was!  Yippy, Skippy!  One less needle!

This afternoon, I ask Michelle if I could give Tippy (also known as Max) some dog biscuits.  They were on the top shelf of the pantry.  As soon as he saw the box, he ran to his dog cage, went in, and turned around to wait to be served.  I threw the treats in on his blanket.  They were gone in a flash!  What a dog!

November 4, 2014---Michelle’s in Loveland, CO

I went to Dr Wold this morning for my second steroid shot into my left ear drum.  It seemed to be more painful than the one last week, but maybe my memory has faded in the past seven days.  I have my last one next week, so we’ll see how that one goes.

While I was having “so much fun” with he ENT doctor, Bill was going on “honey do” errands for me.  He took my list of prescription to Dr. Huneycutt’s office before taking some donations to Habitat.   He also went in search of a special sized rivet to make a repair on the MH slide.  

Our last stop was at Taco Bell for a take-home lunch.  While we were eating our burritos, we watched an episode of Maverick.  That has become a daily ritual for Cowboy Bill.  James Garner was one of his favorites and still is in reruns.

The motorhome needed to go to the repair shop for an estimate.  While Super Driver did that I stayed at Michelle’s and took a nap.  I was awakened by a wet nose on my cheek...Max, not Bill!

When I went back out to the motorhome, Bill was on the phone with my brother, Jim, trying to set up a Country Coach Owners account for Jim.  You talk about “the blind leading the blind.”  We referred Jim to Lori, who set us Bill’s Country Coach Owners account on the internet.  Yahoo wasn’t cooperating and it took her over an hour to get Jim on line.  Thanks for the help, Lori.

Meredith, Joey, and Hapa came for a visit.  They had playtime with Max.

During dinner, Lori and Jim both called.  All is working well, as far as I know.

November 3, 2014---Michelle’s in Loveland, CO

Today was colder than before.  We had rain most of the night.  By noon, the temperature had dropped a little, and a light rain was still falling.  I was really disappointed that none of it turned into snow.  Bill shamed me and said he might have to wash my mouth out with chocolate.  Oh, boy!  

Bill and I did some running around today.  Walmart was first on our list.  We needed to check on some prescriptions so we weren’t there very long.

After a trip to the Library to turn in books for Michelle and me, we went by City Hall to drop off a payment for Michelle.

And then it was by Dr. Huneycutt’s office to see about our Rxs for next year.  I need to take a list of what we need.  I did a “brain fade” and couldn’t remember which meds I was taking.

On the way back home, we made a stop at Dollar Tree.

I helped Michelle with a project, but other than that, I didn’t accomplish very much today. 

November 2, 2014---Michelle’s in Loveland, CO

Michelle made cinnamon rolls for breakfast.  Yum. yum!  With happy tummies, she and I made a midmorning trip to JoAnn Fabrics.  She is working on a project and needed some fabric.  By the time we got back in the car, I wasn’t feel well.

When Michelle went into Walmart for some groceries, I stayed in the car.  She wasn’t gone very long, but I went to sleep.  When we got back home, I continued my nap.

We ate lunch and watched the NASCAR race from Texas.  It was a long race and there were way too many cautions.  There are only two races left in this season.  Then we have a long dry spell until late in February.

Michelle made a big pot of chili.  Meredith, Dwaine, and the pups came and we ate while we watched the Denver football game.  I am sad to say the Patriots whipped up on the Bronco.  It was really disappointing!

November 1, 2014---Michelle’s in Loveland, CO

It was 37° this morning with frost on the roof.  November has arrived.  Next it’s turkey time, then jingle bells, and before we know it, 2015 will arrive!  Yikes!

The temperature didn’t get up as high as we thought it would.  The highest I saw was 60°.  Bill had wanted to do something or other to the roof, but needed a high of at least 70°  I would say he wasn’t too disappointed about the delay, but he really does want to get a coat or two of “Zep” on before the weather deteriorates.

Michelle went to Lafayette, south of here, to get a futon.  Bill went along to help.  They did a quick turnaround, because something very important was happening at 5:30...the Ducks were playing Stanford.

The travelers returned home just as the game started.  Oregon played a good game and came out victorious, 45-16.  It was a good game, but I’d imagine the Stanford fans would disagree.

I was wearing my Oregon Duck shirt.  Tomorrow, it’s Bronco Time!!!

October 31, 2014---Michelle’s in Loveland, CO

Halloween was just here not too long ago, but it was back in full force again today.

Tucker and Maddie were dressed for the occasion.

To celebrate, I went to the library.  It wasn’t very spooky, but one of the librarians was dressed like a miner, complete with a gold panning pan (aluminum pie pan) and rocks stuck to it, the whole thing hanging from her belt.  I liked her costume.

I went to Walmart for a manicure.  That wasn’t too scary, either.  So for lunch, Bill took me to Sonic.  On Halloween, they have 50 cent corn dogs!  Add a Diet Dr. Pepper and I really had something to celebrate!

Connor’s last high school football game was tonight.  The weather was nice...not too cold and no wind blowing.  The game lasted longer than it should have.  A player on the other team was injured.  One of the Loveland players was tangled up with him on the play, and the Loveland guy didn’t move until the hurt player could be safely immobilized and moved to transport to the hospital.  The whole thing took about half an hour.

Since it was the last game for the senior players, they had a presentation at half-time.  The parents walked with the boys.  We stayed until those ceremonies were over and then came home.  Joshua came out with a report when he got home.  It ended in a tie.  Loveland tried for a field goal, but missed.  Drats!
