The group gathered this morning for juice and sweet rolls, and to say goodbye to new friends as well as old ones. This has been an all around great experience.
We left the campground at 10:30. It was a bumpy ride on I-5 until we got onto I-210. The road improved and we had very little traffic until I-210 joined with I-10. Then things went back to bumpy and congested.
From the campground north of LA to the casino in Indio we traveled 167 miles, most of it through populated areas. As the saying goes, “It’s a nice place to visit, but I wouldn’t want to live there.”
We parked at Spotlight 29 Casino. There were very few RVs when we got here at 3:00, but the parking lot started filling up as darkness came upon us.
We left all the errands needing to be done until tomorrow, and just spent the time resting. Two coaches from the rally were parked here when we arrived. After dinner, Gale and Joan Johnson came to visit and share pictures of their new house in Arizona.
