August 12, 2015---Corning to Rest Area, MM 790 CA

We didn’t get on the road until 9:20.  Most of the trucks were out of the parking lot by then, however, another Taylor Swift truck was there, making a total of three.  I wonder where her next concert is.  Since we won’t be going, I guess it doesn’t really matter.

We stopped for lunch at a Rest Area in the Lake Shasta area.  Mt. Shasta had very little snow left on it.   It looks very dry around here.  Hopefully they will get more snow this winter.  It is desperately needed.

Today was the day Connor was to go off to college.  He has really been looking forward to this day.  He is going to Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction.

We stopped at the first Rest Area at Mile Marker 790 on I-5 in Northern Colorado.  It is our favorite Rest Area...large, with lots of green grass, and right on the Klamath River.  It is a peaceful place to stop and rest.
