May 22,2012

Marion was the town we chose to cache in today.  One of them was at Wendy’s so we made it our lunch destination.

After lunch we went north of town for a couple more finds.  One was at a tennis club.  The yard was covered with clover in bloom.  I was following Bill across it when I noticed a number of bees.  By the time I got nearly to the sidewalk, lots of bees were circling me.  They circled two or three more times after I got on the sidewalk and then all went back to the clover.

That’s the most bees I’ve encountered at once since the “killer bee”  incident in Texas a couple of years ago.  I didn’t like it then and I still don’t like it!

From there, our NEVI took us on back roads to the campground.  Using my iPhone, we found another one just before crossing Okatibbee Lake.

Tonight Bill saw a raccoon at our camp site.  It hid under the Honda before I got to see it.  Drats!  You know how much I like wildlife.  I guess that comes with being married 52 years to a “turkey” like Bill.
