Pancakes again before going to some of of the booths at the flea market. There is a place that Bill likes to check out. They sell discounted RV parts. They usually have a good stock, but so many RV manufacturing companies have gone out of business that their inventory was way down. Grandpa was bummed.
In the meantime, I went to a bead booth. After talking with Lori, I purchased blue and orange beads for her to make some jewelry. She will take it to the shop in Loveland that has sold some of her scarves and things.
On our way home, we found four caches. We were so tired after all that activity we just had to take naps. Again, they were rather short. After lunch, we decided it was time to get on the geo trail again.
We went north of Quartzsite and drove some of the desert roads (and sometime even completely off road), finding eight more caches. There were several very cleverly hidden containers. Some of them were in and around saguaro cacti, those magnificent giants of the Arizona desert.
We decided to go to Sweet Darlene’s Restaurant for fish and chips. They were very busy, but our food came quickly, and was good. I must say, though, that it runs a distant second to fried catfish in Mississippi. That’s hard to beat!
We are enjoying being in Quartzsite, but aren’t accomplishing much other than eating pancakes and finding geocaches!
