April 17, 2016—-Yuma, Arizona

At about 12:30 this morning, Bill was up and saw red light flashing at Todd and Bonnie’s house.  He went over there.  Todd had fallen and was still on the floor.  They were waiting for the medics to get him strapped to a back board before they tried to move him.  They expected he had a broken hip…and they were correct.

He will require surgery to put a pin in it.  He waited all day to get a surgery room.  We didn’t hear from Bonnie that it was accomplished today, so we are hoping for tomorrow.

Bill and I visited with him in the middle of the afternoon.  We went to cheer him up, but he had so much “happy juice” it really wasn’t necessary.  I think he enjoyed the visit, anyway.

Before leaving the hospital, we went up one more floor to visit our friend, Ardene.  She is waging a war against cancer, and seemed to be fighting a good fight.  Ardene and her husband, Bill, are RV friends that we have known quite a few years.  They are part of our big RV family!

Tonight was spent relaxing and watching TV.
