After calling the Marine Base to check on activity on the range today, we went caching on the Barry Goldwater Bombing Range. We found nine caches before deciding that was enough for the morning and going back home.
Not long after we left the range two fighter planes flew over very low to the ground. The noise was deafening. It reminded me of being on Davis Monthan AFB when Brent was stationed there. Loud, low flying planes were the norm.
The weather today was very warm. It got to Bill, so he took a morning nap. I sat on the porch and visited with Pat, while Jim was packing, getting ready for their departure for Spokane next week.
When Tex finished “inspecting the insides of his eyelids, we went to Taco Bell for lunch. We needed to go back to Michael’s Crafts for a kit to repair our clock. This time “himself” stayed in the car while I went in to shop. One trip to that kind of store was all he thought he could survive this week!
