The highlight of my day...no, I'll rephrase that...the highlight of my week was a race at a dirt track across from the Cocopah Indian Casino. It was a sprint car race, the kind of race car with wing things on the back. The main attraction was NASCAR driver Tony Stewart...Yahoo! I didn't cheer for him because I couldn't keep track of his car. There were so many of them and they went around so often and so fast.
I’m not a Tony Stewart fan, but he does a lot to promote events at local tracks all over the country. There certainly was a big crowd in attendance tonight.
The weather was really nice and the wind was calm. Thank goodness, because when the "big guys" got out on the track the dust was terrible. Up until then, it wasn't a problem.
We had a good time, though! I'm glad we went!
