We were planning to visit Old Tucson where over 300 Westerns were filmed. The only problem was that we couldn’t find it. We drove and drove and made numerous u-turns. Finally we got to the right place. It was getting warm and it was lunchtime so we decided to return tomorrow earlier in the day.
The up side to our adventure was the beautiful drive through that part of the country. The hillsides were thick with saguaro, thousands of them. It was a beautiful sight. They are very slow growing. I am so glad that the saguaro is a protected species. The very tall ones with lots of arms are magnificent!
We went to Costco for lunch. They have great hot dogs. It has been quite a few weeks, maybe even months, since we have been in a Costco area.
When we got back to the coach, the upholstery people were in the process of removing our sofa. It needs new foam. Bill’s special place to sit had a dent in it. Otherwise it is fine...springs, fabric, things like that.
We spent the rest of the day resting and relaxing.
