May 11, 2013

My 76th birthday started with bright California sunshine.  I certainly know that the weather isn't always this beautiful, but it has been great since I arrived.  That's a good present!

We left for JP's graduation at about 1:00.  We stopped at McDonald's for a snack to eat on the road.  The graduation ceremony may last until 6:00.  That's a long time for a person like me to go without food.

Well, things weren't quite as we had expected.  There were probably two thousand people without seats, including us.  We found a wall to sit on and waited to hear JP's name called so we could cheer.

JP, Rosy, and Rosy's mother soon made their way to where we were.  It was 5:00.  We went to a small park to take pictures.  It was about a mile hike back to the car.  I certainly got my exercise in for today!

Back at Lori's we discussed dinner options.  Both of us were tired from a very busy day so we decided to stay home and have a fruit salad and cheese and crackers from last night's party.  It was a perfect birthday dinner.
