When we left Brent’s house this morning, the temperature was 76°.
I had a box packed and ready to tape with Brent’s tape. I tried to get a piece started, but ran into a hole and the tape tore. I turned the task over to Brent. He didn’t have any more luck than I had. It seems the problem was due to the fact that the kids had used the roll of tape as a hockey puck, thus the holes and dents!
We went to Dollar General, bought more tape, and tried to get the job done. That roll of tape was completely annoying, so we went to Plan C, which was to go to the airport and see if Southwest Airlines would tape it for us. On the way, Brent remembered where a UPS store was located. He went in to buy tape, the clerk said to bring the box in and she would tape it for us. He did and she did and we were soon on our way to the airport.
The plane left on time. When we got to Chicago, the plane on to Denver was delayed for two hours. It was nearly 8:00 before we landed. The Denver Airport is so huge and so busy that it took a long time to get the taped box. It was nearly 10:00 before we got back to the motorhome.
I made friends with a Denver resident, Rosy. We talked and laughed the whole flight from Chicago to Denver. It was a fun trip!
The temperature in Loveland was -3°. Br-r-r-r-r!
