As yet another May first rolls around, our May Baskets will have to be virtuals. Our loved ones are far away, but still in our hearts!
Just like yesterday, we left under blue skies. Perhaps today it will stay that way. We were on the way at 9:30.
Other than the fact that this is a May Basket kind of day, it is also a three state line celebration kind of day. We went into Tennessee (Honk, honk! Yahoo! softly because of traffic), drove a few miles through Memphis, and crossed the Mississippi River into Arkansas (Celebrate, celebrate!).
Seventy-two miles on up the road, and after parking at Walmart in Blytheville to rest and have some ribs for lunch, we crossed into Missouri with little traffic and much honking and cheering!
We went to the Walmart in Sikeston and parked for the night. And as luck would have it, this town is the location of the first Lambert’s, Home of the Throwed Rolls! Yippy, Skippy!
Wow! This has been a great day, with lots of honking, cheering, singing (with Willie Nelson), and eating!
Miles traveled today, 205--Geocaches, 4.
