This was a busy day for us. Bill transported Matthew to a JROTC community service project. That left Michelle, Meredith, and me free to go to garage sales. We went to a couple of good ones. The number of sales today was low, perhaps because of the uncertainty of the weather.
We had some rain, but it didn’t amount to much. They are calling for snow for a couple of days, but we hope that’s a false rumor. The late snows are usually heavy and hard on new plants that are just coming out. Michelle has beautiful tulips, but a heavy snow would probably do them in.
We went to lunch at a 80s type hamburger place. Meredith and Michelle enjoyed the music being played. When we got home, the girls and three young men took the three dogs to a neighborhood park.
With the pups really tired after all that play time, Meredith and Michelle went grocery shopping, while the furry beasts took naps. I spent the time on the computer. I got some geocaching chores caught up.
Bill and I went to Meredith and Dwaine’s for dinner. As usual, the meal was wonderful...pork chops, baked potatoes, cauliflower casserole, ice cream and fresh berries. We spent a lot of time just talking after dinner. Dwaine also showed us a web site he has developed for one of his college classes. It was very impressive.
When we got back home, Bill and I watched the NASCAR race from Kansas. Jeff Gordon won! Yippy, Skippy!
