Blue sky day today. Bill continued to pull weeds in Michelle’s front tulip bed. The rain has made the job easier. Michelle and the boys worked on the flower beds by the front porch.
Ron located all the sprinkler heads in the front yard. He and the boys took the front sidewalk out. While Ron was cutting the sod out of the yard so he can level and seed it, Joshua and Connor were loading the pieces of concrete onto a rental truck. Those two boys are really strong.
Meanwhile, Bill and Michelle were planting climbing flowers along the back fence. Bill reports that Max was an “enormous” help. Each time something was dropped, Max was off and running with it. Big time help, eh?
We had dinner at Meredith and Dwaine’s house. She fixed ribs, potatoes, rice, baked beans, and salad. Everyone was really hungry after a day of hard work. Dessert was fresh fruit, ice cream, and brownies. Happy tummies all around the table!
Today, we watched parts of the Indy 500 and parts of the NASCAR 600 mile race from Charlotte. With all the work going on, people didn’t have time to sit and watch much TV.
