October 12, 2011

We left both motorhomes at Sam’s Club and drove south to do some serious geocaching.  After five hours we had found 88 caches.  Yes, I said 88!!

We did what is called a Power Run.  All of the caches were on one road, spaced about .15 miles apart.  Sometimes they can be very interesting, like in the Yuma, AZ area where the scenery is so different.  Usually, we are on the Barry Goldwater Bombing Range (with permission, of course) with very little traffic on the miles and miles of road.  Brent always says he hopes we don’t start World War Three!

The Power Run today was on a very busy road mostly through cornfields.  None of us seemed particularly impressed with the situation today, but it was fun being with Todd and Bonnie and their two little dogs.

Just about all we did for the remainder of the day was rest.

Today’s Travel Totals: Geocaches, 88---Critter sightings, antelope and a little dog running down the middle of the road
