October 23, 2011

This morning we were sure we heard Willie Nelson singing our traveling song (On the Road Again) so we got the coach in “go mode” and left Eugene.

The drive to the coast was as gorgeous as we remember it being.  It was pleasant to drive through the forest again.  For 15 miles before getting to Florence, we followed the Siuslaw River.  There were lots of fishing boats out for some Sunday fun...or maybe Sunday dinner...or maybe they were just out there drowning worms.

We parked the MH at the marina at Winchester Bay, and ate lunch while watching the NASCAR race from Talladega.  It was nice to be able to put the race on record so we could go caching.

It was cold and windy at this little bay, but that’s the norm, I think.  In spite of that, we like visiting this beautiful spot on the Oregon Coast.

Today’s Travel Totals:  Today’s mileage, 85---Geocaches, 6
