After a free pancake breakfast, the four of us...Dwight, Sheila, Bill, and I...drove to Blythe, CA to do some serious caching.  When with the Meeks it’s always serious, but it’s always fun.

We drove north out of Blythe along the Colorado River for a Power Run (That’s a whole bunch of caches close together along a road.)    Bill and I had never been to this particular area.

We found a total of 25 caches.  The weather took a turn for the worse when we were about half through the Run.  A very strong wind began to blow.  We had to take turns opening doors so the whole inside of the Honda wouldn’t blow out.

One of the caches was a tube, tied to a post.  The tube had to be filled with water to float the cache container to the top.  This particular one had three holes to plug so the water wouldn’t run out too soon.  All went OK for awhile, but something went awry and Bill and Sheila got soaked.  Geez!  Dwight and I can’t take those two anywhere!

Before we left the area we treated ourselves to a late lunch at Sizzlers.  The food was good.

We drove back to Q, arriving home at 4:00.  I don’t know about the rest of the group, but I took a nap.

  1. Your four are a hoot! Maybe Dad and Sheila were practicing for a wet t-shirt contest?
