April 5, 2012

Brent called this morning to warn us of a storm headed toward us and him.  It came in with rain, winds, lightening, and thunder.  In 30 minutes it was over and we had mostly blue sky.  We called Brent who said the main storm went between the two of us.

Bill and I headed out into the country for some caches.  After finding one and running into way too much mud we decided to abandon the others in the area and drive toward Possumneck.  We were able to find the cache there, but the sign entering the “town” was gone.  One of the “locals” told us that every time they put up a sign, someone steals it.

The lady also told us that at one time Possumneck was noted for its cheese, but that dairy was no longer there.

We drove on to West where we found two caches.

The drive back to the motorhome was very pretty.  We decided to go on toward Grenada.  Just before getting there, dark clouds started forming.  We parked at Walmart just as the storm hit.  It lasted about an hour.

Today’s Travel Totals: Today’s mileage, 60---Geocaches, 4
