April 30, 2012

April 30, 2012

After leaving the campground we made our way to the Natchez Trace.  It may be our last time on it for this trip.  As you must know by now, the Trace is at the top of our “favorite drives” list.  This trip, however, is taking us to most of the COE campgrounds north of I-20, both on the west and east sides of the state.  The few times we have been the Trace this spring have been a real treat.

When we got to Tupelo we parked a Sam’s Club, rested for a few minutes, and then went in to Sam’s for lunch and some shopping.  After that, while Bill napped, I went shopping...JoAnn Fabrics, Hobby Lobby, and Walmart.

Bill was refreshed when I got home, so we went geocaching.  The first four caches were very easy to find.  The last two were quick to find once we found the correct roads to the cache sites.

When we got back home, the temperature was 85°.  Yikes!  We sat in front of fans for the rest of the evening.

Today’s Travel Totals:: Today’s mileage, 45---Geocaches, 6---Critter sittings, 2 wild turkeys.
