January 18, 2013

January 18, 2013

No free breakfast for us this morning.  We fixed ham and eggs, with camping toast.  When we went camping with our kids when they were small, we didn’t have a toaster that would work in our motorhome.  I did bread and butter in a skillet.  Brent named it camping toast.  It is still one of our favorites, especially when we have Costco rolls.  Connor will keep the tradition alive, I’m sure.  He loves camping toast rolls.  Today it was camping toast bolillos.  Yum, yum!

We did chores around the house before moving the MH to the site where the RV Forum Rally will be held.  After lunch we went north of town on Hwy. 95 in search of a short power run of 12 caches.  We were only able to find two of them before the road through the washes got so bad we called it quits.

Before returning home we treated ourselves to ice cream.

A few of the Forum rigs were here when we got back so Bill went to Happy Hour while I stayed home and worked on a puzzle.  He likes to talk and talk about motorhomes.  I had other things to occupy my time.

It was warmer today, but after the sun went down the chill came back.  We are parked on BLM land south of Quartzsite on Hwy. 95.  It is our favorite area to park our house.
