March 8, 2013

Our plans for today were to go into California to do some caching.  Bill and Todd started a power run over there several weeks ago.  They finished about half of the caches, but didn’t ever go back and complete the run.

Earlier in the morning, we had just a few sprinkles...an Arizona 12” rain, aka 12” between drops.  As Bill was putting our geocaching supplies in the car, he noticed dark clouds gathering in west.  Soon we were having a real rain and strong winds, just as the weatherman had predicted.

The storm lasted for quite a while.  We were very glad not to be out on the desert at that time.  Strange as it may sound, the desert is prone to flash floods.

We spent the day doing chores both inside and outside the coach.  And, of course, Zorro was our evening’s entertainment.
