June 20, 2013

We got off to a rather slow start this morning, to what turned into a fairly busy day.

We were too late for the free donuts which are a tradition at the FMCA conventions.  That hasn't happened at any other conventions in the past, that I can remember.

The vendors' show opened this morning.  It was packed with RVers.  We got to see about half of the displays.  But we'll back tomorrow, never fear!

From there we went to a gathering of Country Coach owners.  We haven't been to many of their  meetings over the years.  So we weren't surprised that we didn't know anyone.  We had a good time anyway.  We were surprised by how many people had purchased more than one CC.  Some of them three or four.  That's big bucks!

We went back home for lunch and some rest time, before heading out in the Honda.  Our first stop was Walmart and our last one was to mail a package at UPS.  In between, we looked for three geocachers, but didn't find any of them.  We did see a rabbit, an antelope, and two deer, though.

When we got back to the convention site we went to an RV Forum tHappy Hour.  There were a dozen people attending.  Most of them we knew from the Forum meeting in Quartzsite.

By the time we got home the wind had started to blow, followed a couple of hours later by lightening.
