August 11, 2011

August 11, 2011

It was 54° when we went for donuts and hot chocolate this morning.  At 8:00 I had a Christmas ornament class.  It was a good way to start the day.

At 9:30, Bill and I welcomed Byron and Pat Baker, who came to the convention on a day pass.  It was good to see them again.  We parked next to them at the locks on the Mississippi River.  We spent the morning at the vendor exhibits, which opened this morning.  There is always a huge crowd on opening day, but we enjoyed it anyway.  The Bakers had never been to an FMCA  Convention and were surprised at the number of vendors and all the things to for sale for RVers.

After lunch we went to the coach exhibits.  We all enjoyed going into some of the really big motorhomes.  Bryon did some serious looking, but Bill and I are content with what we have.

When the Bakers left to return home in Lena, IL, Bill and I went to the MH for naps.  It was a busy, exhausting, but fun day.
