October 23, 2013---Jim and Peggy’s, Santa Fe, NM

This morning, Jim and I went to Los Alamos.  They lived there for many years, but moved to Santa Fe when Peggy retired from the Lab.  The Los Alamos National Laboratory was where the atomic bomb was developed.  Peggy was a chemist there for 32 years.  Jim was a realtor.

While there today, Jim ran into several people that he knew.  It was kind of like “old home week.”  We had several errands he needed to do, plus we went to see Cort, Jim’s son, and Cort’s wife, Darla.  We ate lunch at McDonald’s.  The only other fast food place in the town was Sonic.  It is rather strange that a town of 15,000 people is so limited on places for a quick meal!

Before going back to Santa Fe, we went to White Rock.  I had only been there once before.  Jim took me around to several housing developments.  We had a good time roaming around together.

Back at the coach, I worked on a beading project.  I am enjoying our new desk so much.

After dinner, the four of us sat around and talked for a long time.  It was relaxing.
