January 24, 2014---Quartzsite, Arizona

We were back on the geocaching trail this morning soon after 9:00.  We found a series of 20 caches with no DNFs.  It was a good morning.  Most of the caches were hidden far enough off the road to require some rather lengthy treks.

We went into Quartzsite for lunch.  I’ve been hungry for Mexican food so that is what we did.  It was very busy and the service was a bit slow, but we had chips and salsa to munch on so waiting wasn’t too bad.  And the food was about average.

When we left the restaurant we went to the Quartzsite Bakery, one of my favorite places.  Their bakery items are really good, and I love the sign on the front...”We’re open.  Get your buns in here.”

Before going back home, we went to the Quartzsite Gem and Mineral Show.  It was so crowded I didn’t feel like walking several blocks from the parking lot and then trailing around the show so we went home for naps.

Some of the caches we found were along the edge of a wildlife preserve.  One roadrunner and lots of little brown lizards...that was the extent of what we saw.  By the way, we hear coyotes nearly every night, but I guess we can’t really include them in our critter count, can we?
