January 25, 2014---Quartzsite, Arizona

Bill Dane, weatherman extraordinaire, reported 40 minutes of rain during the night.  He said it was a 6” Arizona rain...6” between drops, that is!

A group of rally attendees went for a hike this morning to see some petroglyphs.  I didn’t go because it was going to be longer and rougher than I could do.  Bill went and enjoyed it.  He, Wendy, and Henry (the only geocachers on the excursion) found a cache up in a rocky place.  Wendy got the information from her cell phone.

I stayed home, in bed, and slept most of the time they were gone.   We spent the rest of the morning visiting with friends.  A lot of people will be pulling out tomorrow, including us.

At 2:00, we gathered for a group picture and then a pot luck lunch.  There was so much food, as usual, at that kind of event.  People stayed and talked and talked.  Henry built a fire in the fire ring and we sat or stood around, getting warm and visiting some more.  It was a nice way to end the day.

Tomorrow, Super Driver and I are going to Yuma.
