March 30, 2014---Foscue Creek Campground, Demopolis, Alabama

Today was a good day to watch a NASCAR race.  Since I am still able to multitask, I worked on jewelry while I watched.  The race was good, for a short track race.  We still like the road course races better than the others, but unfortunately, there are only two of those for the entire season.

It was a sunny day and lots of kids were riding bicycles around the campground.  As Bill was approaching one group of boys, he heard one say, “Be careful.  There’s an old man walking by.”  Bill thought he would teach them a lesson, but he couldn’t catch up with them.  It sounds to me like the kids had Old Tex pegged just about right.

After the checkered flag waved at the race, we went for a walk around the campground.  A lot of people left the area so there weren’t many people to talk to.  We did visit with a couple who had a Country Coach like ours.  He was very hard of hearing and talked so loudly I had a headache by the time we set off for home.

The weather report is predicting rain for Tuesday so we may need to play tourist tomorrow.  You never know.  They might get this one right!
