May 16, 2012

May 16, 2012

The only cache we found this morning was hidden in the COE park where we are camping.  A lot of walking was involved.  The park is very nice with treks through the woods.  You guessed it!  The score is now 13 to 1.

We drove into Columbus for lunch at Bojangles.  This is the furthest west we have seen that restaurant.  Most are east of here and not very far north.  Their menu is definitely southern...fried chicken, dirty rice, and great biscuits.  Years ago we ate at one in North Carolina.  Brent really liked their biscuits.  We lost count of how many he ate.  The food was as good today as we remembered it being.

Before returning home, we found one more cache.  At this rate, it will be a long time before we reach our next goal...5,000 caches.  I’ll let you know when that momentous occasion happens, but don’t hold your breath!  We have a ways to go.

I am making something special for the grandyoungins (that’s southern) at our family reunion in Colorado in July.  I spent several hours working on the project this evening.
