It was raining when we got up this morning so we decided to stay another day. Wouldn’t you know it! An hour later the sky had cleared so we headed south. Not long after we got on the road the rain started again. Oh, well!
110 miles later we were parked at a COE campground on Okatibee Lake, north of Meridian. We had rain for about the first 10 miles. From then on, it was clear sailing...er, driving.
We drove in to Meridian to do a little shopping. We had located Sam’s Club and Walmart on the map. I also made a quick stop at Jo Ann Fabrics.
We hadn’t been back home for very long when a big thunder storm rolled through. It is amazing how quickly the storms come and go in this part of the country.
By the way, as we came into this campground we saw a sign warning us about alligators. I’ll keep you posted on that one!
