Br-r-r-r! 1° this morning. But the temperature got warmer as the day went on...29°...a heat wave.
At 11:00, we went to Meredith and Dwaine’s to watch the Denver Bronco game against St. Louis. I’m sad to report that Denver lost. (Sigh!) Too many dropped balls and too many penalties made it sad for us Bronco fans.
Meredith served a delicious quiche for lunch. I was very impressed. I’ve never made one and hers was really good. We also had pan fried potatoes. A good meal and a disastrous football game!
We stayed afterwards to watch the NASCAR race from Homestead, Florida. It was the last race of this season. Kevin Harvick won the championship. He wasn’t my choice, but he did redeem himself. He had his little boy (about 18 months old) in the winner’s circle. It is always special to me when the drivers have their kids at the track.
The next few days are suppose to gradually get warmer. That’s all right with everyone around here!
