February 15, 2014---Yuma, Arizona

This morning, Bill, Todd, and I went geocaching.  We were able to find three caches south of Yuma.

I needed to go to Walmart before returning home.  We decided to eat at McDonald’s inside the store before shopping.  After lunch, I went to buy a calculator while Todd and Bill bought a few groceries.

We got back home in time to rest, watch some of the Olympics, and do some computer work before going to Bonnie and Todd’s for dinner.

We ate on their patio.  It was cool and shady there, kind of like a little oasis.  She made spaghetti and I took a salad and French bread.  Dessert was lemon pie.  That is one of Bonnie’s specialties.  She used lemons from a neighbor’s tree.  It was really good.

As it began to get dark, Bonnie built a fire in their fire pit so we could burn some of our personal papers.  Several more people arrived with things to burn.  Soon we had 16 chairs around the fire.  There was lots of story telling and laughing going on.  Bonnie had all the “makings” for S’mores.

The afternoon temperature was close to 90°, but before the party broke up tonight, we were huddled around the fire to keep warm.  That’s the way it is in the desert.
