March 29, 2016—-Yuma, Arizona

It was still windy today, but not so much dust in the air.

This morning we watched helicopters flying at the base of the mountains.  They must’ve been on some kind of training mission.

We were south of town a few days ago and a Marine plane was dropping flares, four at a time.  When they would all land, four more would be dropped.  We have no idea what the purpose was.  There were lots of people parked and watching.  We didn’t stop so were not able to get any information.

The baby hummingbird continues to grow.  It seems to be hanging out of the nest on all sides.  It is fun to watch the little thing.  Several people have come to see it and take pictures.  We didn’t know we were moving to a “celebrity” neighborhood!  The paparazzi are every place these days.
