July 25, 2015---Corning to Elks Lodge, Walnut Creek, CA

Bill headed the motorhome toward Lori’s at 6:30 this morning.  After about an hour, we stopped at a Rest Stop to eat breakfast.  Bill fixed French Toast while I got dressed.  I had stayed in bed to get a bit more sleep as he drove.

We drove on to get fuel at a station just before getting to I-505, which cuts over to I-80.  When we got to Interstate 80 at Vacaville, traffic was terrible.  I don’t think we have ever seen so much traffic.

We drove to the Elks Lodge in Walnut Creek to see if they had motorhome parking available.  We have parked at the Lodge before, but their parking lot but their lot is small.  Our usual spot was taken, but we were able to park by the building.

Lori came to see us.  Tucker and Maddie were with her.  After some visiting time, we left Bill to inspect the insides of his eyelids.  We got lunch at Taco Bell and went back to Lori’s home to eat.

Maddie had gotten her little self in goose droppings on their morning walk and had to have a bath.  Tucker got a bath, also, even though he hadn’t done anything disgraceful that we knew of.

Lori had plans for the evening, so Bill and I took Mario out for supper...to choice.

We drove 152 miles today. Considering a stressful day yesterday and the early drive this morning, we were ready for bed time.
