Our journey from San Luis Obispo to Santa Barbara took nearly two hours.  It was a beautiful day.  On the first part of our trip, Highway 101 followed the coastline.  Later the road went inland through vineyards and ranches.  This part of the state is much greener than what we traveled through a week ago.  The last of today’s drive was once again close to the ocean until a few miles out of Goleta (nearly to Santa Barbara).

After getting the motorhome parked at the Elks Lodge RV area we went to In-N-Out for a late lunch.  Their hamburgers and French- fries are so good!  Years ago one of my students said, “Mrs. Dane, I’m an American, but I sure do like French-fries.”  Well, Clifford, so do I!

We rested for an hour before going caching.  Our successful rate (50% found) wasn’t so great today, but two finds is two better than none, if my math is right.

Our last stop for the day was at Albertson’s for a few groceries.  We buy most of our things at Super Walmarts when they are available where we happen to be.  Wow!  Albertson’s surely did seem high.
