December 28, 2011

During the night we heard an owl.  Whoo, whoo!  It was a soft sound and didn’t seem very far away.    At 6:00, we could hear the yipping and yapping of coyotes.  Soon, some of the neighborhood dogs joined in.  What a racket!  If we have our choice, we’ll take the owl.

After logging four caches we got the coach in “go mode” and drove to the campground where we will be based for all of our Rose Parade activities.  There are 67 people in our group.  So far I have had contact with two friends, Gale and Joan.  This will be a good opportunity to make new friends.  I’ll try really hard not to be shy!

Tomorrow we go to decorate floats.  That should be interesting!
