September 2, 2015---Eugene to Elks Lodge, Bend, OR.

Bill was on the road at 6:15.  That’s a bit short of a “Dane start.”  I got more shut eye before taking my blanket to the front seat and wrapping myself up to keep warm.

While I was sleeping, Bill saw some interesting things.  There were herds of antelope in some of the fields.  A few miles further on he saw a commotion in the road ahead.  It was a coyote and some buzzard fighting over road kill.  As the motorhome got closer, he said the birds flew away and the coyote grabbed the carcass, and disappeared into the sagebrush.  Size rules, but not by much.

We crossed some barren land in Eastern Oregon and then in Idaho on Interstate 84.  There was a lot of irrigation and those parts were green.  Otherwise, it was brown, brown, brown!

Super Driver put the pedal to the metal today.  We had very little traffic.  That was great!

Today’s Travel Totals:  miles traveled,  440---critter sightings, antelope.
